Paul Merson: 'MU should sack Rangnick'
The former British player thinks that the Manchester United leadership needs to spend a lot of money to recruit a new coach immediately.
"I am 100% sure he (Ralf Rangnick - PV) will not continue to lead Manchester United next season," predicts Sky Sports football expert Paul Merson. "I don't see the possibility that he will continue to lead this club next season. Man United need to spend a lot to recruit a new coach immediately."
The former English player also affirmed that Manchester United have not made any progress since the German coach replaced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The red half of Manchester has not won 3 consecutive matches in more than a week.

After losing to Middlesbrough in the FA Cup on penalties, MU continued to let Burnley and Southampton hold a draw with the same scenario. The "Red Devils" played well in the first half, took the lead and then let the opponent equalize. Mr. Merson affirmed it was hard to believe that the MU leadership waited until the end of this season to appoint a new coach.
The former England international continued: "MU is playing so poorly compared to their rivals, and they need to find a new coach immediately. If the club is willing to pay 70 or 80 million pounds for a player, why not spend real money? bold to find a new coach. A good strategist is very important for the team at this time."
Currently, leaked information from inside MU shows that many members are not satisfied with the training method of the German strategist. Earlier, Sports Mail also revealed this information.
"I hear too much from within the team about the new manager. It's not good at all," the former Arsenal player continued. "If MU cannot qualify for the Champions League next season, I will be shocked if Rangnick steps up to a higher position at the club."
In November 2021, Mr. Rangnick agreed to be the interim coach of MU until this year's season ends. After that, the German military leader will take on the role of an advisor at the club with a 2-year contract.
After a disappointing 1-1 draw against Southampton over the weekend, coach Rangnick admitted that it would be difficult for the Old Trafford team to enter the top 4 of the Premier League when this season ends. They are 5th in the English Premier League table with 40 points after 24 matches, 1 point behind the 4th place West Ham but have played many opponents 1 match. Arsenal, the team ranked 6th, has 39 points but played 2 matches less than MU.
