Benzema races for time to fight PSG with Real
Karim Benzema is on the list of Real Madrid going to Paris to be a guest of PSG in the 1/8 Champions League round on February 16.
Benzema missed Real's last 3 matches because of a hamstring injury. The French player has not fully recovered, but he still travels with Real to France to prepare for the match.
According to AS, Benzema's ability to play is only 50%. The striker born in 1987 has not yet returned to practice with the Real first team. Coach Carlo Ancelotti revealed that Benzema's condition, according to a Real doctor's assessment, is positive. But he had to wait until the day near the match to determine whether Benzema would be able to play.

On the other hand, PSG received good news when Neymar completed all recent training sessions. The Brazilian star took more than 2 months to recover from the injury, so it is necessary to carefully check the condition. Most likely, Neymar only entered the field from the second half against Real.
Center-back Sergio Ramos is the next name to leave open the possibility of playing. On January 27, the former Real captain relapsed with a calf injury. The chance for Ramos to recover and face his old team is very small.
The great battle between PSG and Real is the focus of this season's Champions League round of 16. Before that, the initial draw results determined that PSG met MU and Real met Benfica. But the incident caused UEFA to re-draw and the lucky vote brought PSG to Real.
UEFA has appointed referee Daniele Orsato to referee this match. Mr. Orsato used to "hold the balance" in the 2019/20 Champions League final between PSG and Bayern Munich. Last season, Orsato started when Real lost to Chelsea in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final.
The match between PSG and Real takes place at 3 am on February 16. Historically, the two teams have met six times in the Champions League. Real dominated with 3 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss. The last time the two teams met was in the group stage of the Champions League 2019/20.
