6 big problems MU must overcome
The 1-1 draw with Southampton in round 25 of the Premier League on February 12 showed MU that they still have a lot of work to do in the race to the top 4.
Man Utd had a disappointing draw against Southampton despite scoring the opener. Competing for a place in the top 4 of the "Red Devils" becomes even more difficult when their March schedule is full of challenges.

Poor finishing
In the last 4 matches, Man Utd made 82 shots but only scored 4 goals. Cristiano Ronaldo, Edison Cavani are too wasteful of the opportunities given.
Ronaldo is a big problem for MU right now. The Portuguese superstar seems to be disappointed with himself and is affecting the whole team. He moves poorly, shots are inaccurate. Sadly, MU has few alternatives.
Marcus Rashford also no longer shows the sharpness as before. The English striker did not take advantage of the opportunity, on the contrary, he also lost the ball, causing MU many times to pay the price.
Disbelieve
At the beginning of the season, MU was equalized by Leeds and Newcastle despite leading before the end of the first half. However, the "Red Devils" still won with a score of 5-1 and 4-1.
Currently, Ralf Rangnick's team shows a completely different face after receiving the equalizer. As the game entered the 70th minute, MU did not seem to have scored any more goals, with the players becoming tense.
This problem will only get worse as the season enters a critical period. When MU faces strong teams (in the top 4 - PV), they may have to concede a goal early, instead of taking the lead. At that time, the players will lose even more competitive spirit.

Do not follow instructions
It seems that coach Ralf Rangnick's message was not communicated to the players. After the draw at Southampton, the interim coach complained about the players not following the plan after opening the scoring, and then dropping in form in the second half.
"MU played well in the first half, especially in the first 30 minutes. But in the first 20 minutes of the second half, we could no longer keep the cohesion. The players had difficulty defending. The last 20 minutes of the game, we were had a chance to score but couldn't take advantage of it," said the German strategist.
The players needed to do what Rangnick was telling them. Of course, it's not always that simple, and the fault can lie with the coach for not conveying his message correctly.
"Red Devils" need high concentration throughout the match to have a good performance, towards winning the next matches.
Lack of leader
This problem lies with Harry Maguire. He often revealed space in defense and almost gave Southampton a penalty in the final minutes of the game.
The bigger problem with Maguire is his complete lack of leadership. MU needs a player who inspires teammates, someone who is willing to fight and pull teammates to new heights. Obviously, Maguire is not that type of player.
In the current MU squad there are players who can lead, but lack a leader in the style of great players of the past. They need to find a real leader on the pitch this summer.
